Interesting construction technique for building a home. Not sure I would want to live in one...

Interesting concept.  Curious that there are no closets or pantry space.  The accompanying text notes that no heating is required due to the efficient design, but there's no mention of a/c which is just absolutely essential in some parts of this country.  I'm not fond of flat roof designs in any case.

Looks like Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe 's Farnsworth House on the Fox River except less glass. I wonder how well it would stand up to flooding.

Looks like a SIP type of construction. If it is it should be very strong. A demonstration structure broke the earthquake table when tested.  Not sure what it would be like living in a skinned coffee cup.:)

I like the SIP panel design, but it has been years and just doesn't seem to catch on. You'd think more builders would be interested in the eco-factors involved?

SIPs are great until something goes wrong.  My Dad built a house on Marthas Vineyard in the late 80's to retire in.  He wasn't a contractor by trade but very handy and acted as the GC.  He neglected to flash the windows properly and down there, the rain comes in horizontal.  It only lasted 10 years before the OSB had rotted and the siding nails were no longer holding.  Long story short, we hired a local contractor on an hourly basis to strip off the siding and rotted OSB, and with snow shovels, removed all the insulation down to the inside OSB, reframed conventionally, insulated, new plywood, etc etc.
By contrast, the attached garage was conventionally stick framed but suffered the same water damage.  All that was required was to strip off the siding and replace the OSB with plywood.
It was such a headache and expense that it forced a sale on the house.
Not to mention it's a PITA to wire.

I do like modular construction and this one was fun to watch.  Thanks for posting, GPowers.
