I wish someone would make a light weight combination joiner-planer. What I am wishing for is available in Europe by DeWalt, but they don't sell them in the U.S. Preferably it would be a 12" wide planer with full width aluminum joiner bed on top that swings into place when you need it.

Inca used to sell a 10" one through Garret Wade but that is no longer available. Rikon has a cast iron 10" but that is quite heavy. If it could weigh in at 60 lbs that would be perfect.

If Festool made one I'm sure it would have great dust collection as well.

Mike,

I've got an Inca 550. It's small, but it sure don't weigh no 60 lbs. Plus, you don't find 220v everywhere.

Andy,
Thanks very much for the link. ;D It looks like what I was thinking. I have a wide lunch box planer and I could use this as the joiner.
Now I have to find an extra $1000 laying around :-\ Have to save up for the Kapex too.
