New job
Remove rot on bottom of post and put railing back up.
The posts at the deck had a bit of rot, so we cut as little off, while removing all of it.
As it turned out, the post were made of 2xs that were glued and then turned on a lathe. The ending dimensions were 4 1/4" x 4 1/4",so just using a 6x6 was not going to work.
We used a 6x6 and cut it down to fit, then sanded it flush. ( in the u s a , lumber is smaller than the number it says i.e. 2x4 is a 1 1/2 x 3 1/2" )
Used :
Baby domino
Ro 125
Kapex
Titebond 3
