Powermatic - Something BIG is coming....

OK so this has been on Powermatic's web page for a few weeks now....
Been in every Powermatic employee's email signature....
Just a little over a half hour away - I'm definitely curious - kind of like waiting for Apple's new product announcements.....

Thanks Shane! Thought it would be something "bigger" though - I think most people knew the old 4224 was being discontinued and would be replaced. That being said, the 3520B is a great machine and I know a lot of people wanted the 4224 for the size but liked the sliding tailstock of the 3520B and ended up going with that.

You're def right - just logged into Powermatic's dealer portal and pricing is already in there for this monster. It's not cheap!!!!

I've been drooling over their latest bandsaw ... I'm starting to believe they probably make good stuff ??

Are they some how aligned with JET? I asked because the same distributor here in Oz does both Jet and Powermatic (I'm thinking it's a bit like Felder and Hammer).

That's a nice looking lathe.

Kev, what size bandsaw? Jet and Powermatic are both owned by Walter Meier Holding Company. I don't even know how much Powermatic stuff there is in the rest of the world. A lot of their stuff is just branded Jet. I'm pretty sure there is a Jet 3520B floating around Europe - all White instead of Powermatic "Mustard" Gold....

That thing is tiny.  Measly 900 pounds and only 42" between centers.

Must be for old guys that want to turn large bowls and pens.
