Precision Dogs Plate & MFT/3 Fit

Hi,

I purchased the above as well as an Incra LS Positioner Super System 25".  I was trying to set it today and I ran into a problem.  The two bench dogs that attach to the Plate to the MFT/3 won't slide into the MFT holes when tightened prior to insertion, but do fit when they are slightly loose.

I assume this is correct and I just need to tighten the dogs to the Plate whilst it is in the MFT/3.  I can then lock it in place with the the supplied locking knobs and remove and install at will.

However, I feel a little stupid as I can't figure out the best way to tighten the dogs whilst in the table.  I don't want to do any damage so I thought I would ask the question and feel very embarrassed when the simple and obvious answer comes back  [wink]

This should not be the case. It is a little tight to get the plate, dogs and the LS into the table but it does get easier.

Try to take the traveler out of the body of the LS so you can try to attach just the body attached to the plate so it is a lot smaller.

If it still doesn't go in well, contact Jerry at Precision and let him know. He is a treat to work with!!

I have the same problem with the 1080 but it seems to be working fine for me to just loosen the dogs a bit and everything lines up.
