HI All
Currently using the Q5 with both gravity and siphon and while do not consider myself a professional finisher by any means,I am  improving, the finish im producing is much better than a roller and brush.  My current situation is the cups. Using the pps standard and mini, I having issue effectively spraying builtins.
So as the title states, not sure of the difference between the two, which is more effective?
I would like any new purchase to be site friendly/mobile
I read a lot, sometimes too much to the point of confusion,so many options
Thank you

What kind of issues are you experiencing? I have the same as you. Q5, T70 and T75 with PPS cups.
One thought. If it's a paint delivery issue, I found that by removing the filter on the PPS lid, you will need to strain the paint when filling the PPS cup, you will get a more consistent flow of paint.

Cheers,
JC

Its a fit issue. As in room for the cup dimensions. I have had a fluid delivery issue while  the cups are upside down in certain spots but i've been able to easily work around that by tilting the cup in one direction or the other

My recommendation would be to use a pressure pot that way all you are dealing with are the hoses to the gun and no pot.

got that. A quality  pot puts  me close to a $1000 -1500,so I want to look into all options

I have a 2.5 gallon pressure pot from Fuji. It list for $340 US and $419 CAD. It's really well built.

Cheers,

Teflon inside and single gauge. The guage is used to set the pressure of the fluid tube. You would use the guage on your compressor to set the pressure in the tank. I have mine set at approx 40psi and 10-14psi for the fluid pressure.

I have a pressure pot and a Graco Triton.

My pot is a 2,5 gallon Qualcraft with stainless fittings and stainless liner.

In your case go with the pot. Here is why;

You have the turbine already, hopefully a bottom feed gun. If not it is best to use a bottom feed with the pot.

The Triton works very well, but you need a larger compressor to run it due the the gun needing the atomizing air from the compressor.

The Triton with a gun costs considerably more than a pot.

You run the pot off a small compressor which you probably already have. Gun gets atomizing air from the turbine.

2.5 gallon pot is what you want.

Would you guys recommend air agitation and the dual regulator for the air as well?

Air mixer is nice, as long as you have a compressor to run it. They take a lot of air volume.

You only need a dual regulator if you’re using a compressor gun. The second regulator connects to the gun. If you’re using a turbine gun the atomization air is supplied by the turbine. I believe Fuji had a smaller pot the ran off the turbine, this type of pot would not be my first choice, or any choice come to think of it.....
