Price Changes in April

Travis,  when we lived in Texas, we only had sopaipillas as a pastry, and with honey inside and on top .  I do like tomatillo sauce, and I'm trying to imagine the two together.

I see the new Chuys happens to be between my jobsite tomorrow and my house.  Looks like a good time to go by and check it out!

You guys are killing me.... Good thing I'm heading to Ireland over St Pattys day...
I won't be able to taste the food after I hit the Guiness brewery

Any chance the price drop in C15 etc is due to new, better, battery architectures coming ... like an entire new line of drills?

Your guess is as good as mine...

I'm somewhat surprised that similar speculation hasn't reached a fever pitch yet!

Well, did you check it out?

My opinion of Chuys is that they are a pretty good Tex-Mex restaurant. They seem to be a pretty well run chain and in my experience, they are all pretty consistent. We have better Mexican spots here though the nearest Chuys is popular with UT coeds. That enters into certain peoples' decisions with regard to where to eat.

Decades ago, my neighbor and I used to go to Happy Hour at one in central Houston. They had the strongest mixed drinks in town and were also full of young, attractive women. From my observation, the formula hasn't changed much. I don't think they can still get away with the over-pour but I'm not certain???

Hi Tom

No, I didn't go.  Broken windshield on the truck (thank you ice--Grrr), long day at work, and it was so cold when I left all I really wanted was coffee.  Maybe tomorrow.....

Chuy's doesn't have the strongest drinks in Austin... That honor goes to the purple drink from Baby A's.

Cheers. Bryan.

Well, as a fourth generation native Texan that grew up in Dallas in the 1960's and spent lot's of time in San Antonio (before chains and franchises took over), all I can say is that the Chuy's in Atlanta has among the worst Mexican food I have ever had.  Too tomatoey for my taste.

Most Atlantans have no clue what really good Mexican food is like.  In Atlanta, "Tex-Mex" is a pejorative.  I have personally been told by more than one Mexican that they actually favor Tex-Mex over so the so called "authentic peasant Mexican food" Atlantans look for.

Is there a conglomerate of Mexican food restaurants planning a price increase in April or perhaps the thread should return back to its original discussion?

Well, Tom (the OP) did go off on a tangent speaking of Austin and its food.  As you know, people do eat when they get depressed, and the annual price increase is depressing to some folks......

I kind of thought the original discussion had more than played out. I'm a foodie anyway...

It's all about the cost of our hunger.  Whether for Festool or tacos.

i wonder if festools only price drop is reflecting this failure to sell drills?

Assuming that the Euro hasn't been overvalued for the past decade, it follows then to look at the recent disparity as a blip rather than a trend. Chasing exchange rates would create volatility in a not-that-volatile market.

Tom, speaking of tacos, I may have to pay you a visit soon........

I do have trips planned to Oman later this month and Azerbaijan next month, doubt I will find tacos on the menu in either place.....
