I heard a rumor that there was another price increase coming, the date I was told was January 1, 2016
Can anyone confirm this from festool? Or confirm when there is one coming if it's not January 1, even if it's a rough date

Thanks

Typically, the price increase in the USA and Canada has been April 1st. A cruel April Fool's Joke!

Perhaps they are changing it this year, typically Festool has given at least 30 days notice.

I haven't heard but makes sense given the lack of spine in our dollar...

I think the Canadian Dollar hasn't changed much against the Euro in the last 12 months, it's still  CD 1.42:1 Euro.  You can look it up.  The US dollar on the other hand has increased in value against the Euro by about 20%  A price increase by Festool, based on exchange rates does not seem to be justified.

Agreed, but as I understand it (based on the last time this came up) import, supply and pricing for Canada is directed by Festool US not Germany.
I could be wrong, but that won't change anything, ...fortunately.

Well, according to Lee Valley website there will be a price increase Jan, 2016.  Do the dealers have a chart showing the before and after costs like previous years?

Thanks

You are probably right that North American pricing is primarily driven by Festool USA - that however doesn't mean that Canadian prices should go up - it means that US prices should be going down and CDN prices should be staying flat.  Someone asked when Festool will price themselves out of the market?  Clearly Festool spends a great deal of effort trying to figure out just how much they can take us for along the way. We saw the effect feedback and voicing opinions of pricing of a belt hook had - It's time Festool got the same feedback.  Canadians should be upset for obvious reasons and our American friends should be demanding a price reduction.
