I have an ETS 125 and the sanding disks don't stick to the sanding head.  I cleaned the head and tried different disks.  Can someone help?

The sander was purchased as a refurbished model through an authorized dealer.  I've had it for a couple of years.  I'm a hobbyist so it doesn not get much use.

It sounds like it's worn out. Has it been used without dust extraction?

I had the same problem, after using sander without any paper lol. Think you need a new pad.

Yes - No dust extraction.  How long is it expected to last?

Depends on how much use the sander gets. In the body shop, where we used sanders professionally each day, a pad would generally last for 6 months.

They last longer if used with dust extraction because they stay cooler.

The wear of your pad greatly decreases when you hit an uneven surface and the paper tears without you noticing; you will be sanding away your pad quickly. (which I did while messing around in tricky corners). Be mindful of that - check your paper regularly while sanding. Just bought a new pad and the increase in hold is dramatic! :)

I have went through a lot of pads on mine!! There's really no warning.  When its life is over, the sandpaper flies off the pad like a Frisbee!! [eek]
