Problems with my domino jointer

My Domino's fence keeps creeping up while I am using it causing the mortises to be grossly misaligned . I can stop it but I have to use way too much force on the  lever arm. When I took the fence apart the two mating surfaces are glass smooth I have been thinking about taking sand paper to then to give them a little more tooth.

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem and what they did.

Thanks, I saw that right after I posted, but, I don't want to have to  tool  the surfaces of my fence I want
Festool to figure out how to fix it and send me a new part. I payed way too much my domino for it to fail to work in such a fundamental way.

On a different subject I have read your review of the Kapex and found it very informative, thanks for writing it.
Do you have an online portfolio of you work? If not why not.

I know this sounds trite, but please call the Festool service people (800-377-8600) to discuss the problems you are having with your Domino.

I have had customers that had perceived problems with their Dominos and the problems weren't always as they appeared. Sometimes they can be worked out over the phone and if not, then you have a direct connection and they can tell you how best to handle the resolution.

The Domino was my first Festool. First time I used it every slot was consistently off by about 0.006" - yes slipping fence. I called up Festool and was told I wasn't tightening it hard enough and to loosen the tightening handle and re-index it a notch to have more swing for tightening. Feels like I'm about the break it if I tighten it enough to keep it from slipping. I agree with so many people having the same problem with such an expensive tool why not retain your reputation and come up with a fix and admit this area needs improvement - even if it's just a piece of sandpaper. At least in my case it would allow me to mod the tool with a "FACTORY" approved fix.
