Did anyone get the email for the promo systainer for .01?  The problem is you can’t pay for it because nothing accepts less than .50.  Are you having the same issue?

Yes, I had the same problem. Went through the whole order placement, then got that message, tried it again then got the message indicating they were sold out.

First time I got that far in ordering anything from the recon site.
Oh well,
Merry Xmas All!

You should have got an email. It says “Reconditioned thank you for your business”

The issue still exists. A suggestion:  since the limiting factor is most likely the credit card company minimum purchase, change the price of the systainer to either $0.50 or $1.00.

Hey, all. Sorry for the confusion with this. I'm not directly involved with this, but I'll pass along what I think is going on.

This isn't an actual promotion. The recon emails are template-based emails. The "Buy now" button and link are added by default to each email. Therefore, it was automatically added to the "Thank you" announcement email despite not actually having an item available. Sorry to be Scrooge on Christmas Eve.

Dang!  Just the systainer I needed too.  Or maybe I needed two.

Merry Christmas to all - don't go all Scrooge on Festool over this - obvious unintentional mistake.

This is disgusting. Festool should honor the promotional price! I made life changing decisions based on this sale. I've already sold my house and put a deposit on the land where i will build my systainer house... If festool don't pull their socks up ill be selling all my perfectly working festools immediately.

Merry blooming Christmas to you all  [big grin]

[member=22067]mrB[/member] - You’re killing me. I read the first two sentences and almost panicked. Please don’t give me a heart attack for Christmas.  [thumbs up]

While cleaning out my email inbox, I came across this one again and wondered if there was any final explanation on it. [member=57769]TylerC[/member] - thank you for chasing that down and clarifying what seemed to have happened.

For those of us who did make life-changing decisions, had trouble typing on our mobile gadgets because we were so thrilled about something that suddenly made Christmas eve at the in-laws worthwhile, were nervous about being able to get a systainer for a penny, or simply couldn't believe that something from the recon sale was still available when we saw the email, could folks at least get an extension on their unused vouchers so they can keep trading them?

I know, I know - this is unproductive salt in nobody's wound, but I just had to chuckle about how easy it could have been to send a plain old "Thank you for your business" email without the teaser.  I often hear the recommendation, "check your emails several times before pushing send."

Anyway, Happy New Year, and a healthy & prosperous 2018 to all (minus the systainer, of course...)
