Protecting my MFT3 tops (Mould issues)

My workshop at the moment is less than idea with some damp issues which I need to rectify. But in the mean time I have mould developing on my MDF mft tops. What is best for protecting the tops for moisture while maintaining the clearances of the holes

I've tested and compared 3 or 4 different products and stumbled onto Howard's Feed-N-Wax at my local ACE Hardware store.  Tried it and it's now the only thing I use.  Cheap, easy, and wipes on and off without any residue.  I live in a dry area, so don't have to worry about dampness or mold, but I'm thinking this would seal up your tops and take care of your problem.  Good luck.

I'm with Tracktubeguy, I also use Howards and think it's great and also easily touched up.

I think any oil or wax would help. A step up would be penetrating epoxy. It'll also make MDF harder and more wear resistant.

Be aware that some oils such as linseed promote mold, so if using this or a product based on linseed oil, ensure either you or the supplier have added mold inhibitor.

Personally I would use burnishing oil/FESTOOL Oil and wax, or just wax.

I would use a dehumidifier.

Personally I would be worrying more about my other tools rusting as they are far more expensive than a couple of $100 MFT tops.
