Exactly Tim, Been spraying (defacing) tools for over 20 years now.
On a busy job you can spot them a mile away going in the opposite direction .
If some scratter did take anything they wouldnt be able to put it on Fleabay.

In my experience, it is actually pretty easy to get paint of power tools. Just needs some work.

Fact is, that paint made for wood or metal has a hard time sticking permanently on plastic. Generally you need to use a special primer to get good adhesion.

Is that a right angle adapter for the 36mm hose (vac on the left)? If it is, is this part available in the US?

  Yes, I swapped the new tapered hose from the midi onto my old vac. I took the crushproof bit too seriously,and stood on it too much. Theres still plenty of life left in it for use with a sander though.
