PSA - Guess what happens when you smoke in the workshop?

I've been struggling with smoking myself and have become quite dependent on it. It's been tough to quit, and I'm looking for some advice on how to stop. Seeing how it affects not only my health but also my surroundings really drives the point home. Does anyone have any tips or methods that have worked for them to quit smoking?

What worked for me was gradually reducing my cigarette intake each week until I was down to just a few a day. Alongside that, I made sure to replace the habit with healthier activities like going for a walk or chewing gum whenever I felt the urge to smoke. It's really important to keep reminding yourself of the reasons why you want to quit and the benefits it brings to your health and your environment.

Scary, especially when you consider that airborne sawdust behaves just like fumes from gasoline:  A spark could cause it to explode.

I forget where I heard this but, “The only safe way to extinguish a cigarette is to drop it into water.”

Apparently, all other methods are a matter of convenience.

I'd suggest that the smarter move would be to NOT light it to begin with.  Amen.

The secret to limit smoking is to only smoke when you drink...Im down to 5 packs a day!! [laughing]

At my sister’s wedding on August 1st many years ago, one of the guests was falling-down-drunk.

He said, “My doctor only allows me one drink per day.”  (He looks down at his Rolex Datejust).  “Ah, I see it is September 16th.  I’ll have another martini please.”

Kinda goes along with the old saying "You can't drink all day, if you don't start in the morning"  [big grin]
