Looking for suggestions - Recently I was attempting to cut 15" circles with a PSB 300 EQ Jigsaw with the trammel bar through
3/4" Baltic Burch Plywood. Started out with Festool 2" (50mm) blade P/N # 486564. Adjusted the blade Jaws as per on-line videos, started to cut,
was not in a hurry so I applied little pressure. With in 2" of the cut origination the blade started to bend "in" towards the center of the cut - not cutting perpendicular to the wood surface. Change bladed to a larger blade P/N 473723 which is a heavier blade, and tried to correct the cut, same problem - blade bent at a angle  ?

At this point I tried a new blade but also tried checking the Jaws adjustment, that is when I was the "jaws" were deflecting the blade. The stationary side of the jaws is not aligned with the Blade Holder. You can look down the blade and see the blade defliction at the jaws. You cannot adjust the jaws with the small Allen wrench supplied with the saw - as the fixed jaw that is the problem

Any thoughts............

Hi, Tom. Sorry for the issues with circle cutting. The preferred blade for circle cutting is the S75/4 K, #486563.

Make sure you're putting the pin in the hole on the "back" side of the circle cutter based on whether you're going clockwise or counterclockwise. See the photo below as an example.

Thanks for responding,
OK that's a good tip.... I "believe" I had the trammel pined in the aft hole, but any thoughts on the misalignment between the blade holder and the fixed side of the jaws ?  This missalignment absolutely deflecting the blade

Please advise,
Tom R

Sorry, Tom, for not responding to that bit of your post. I got sidetracked and forgot to address it. I don't have mine handy to look at, but if you think there's an issue with the jaws, that would be something to talk to the service department about. Their number is on your tool and below in my signature, M-F, 8a-5p ET.

If I recall correctly, using the pin in the wrong hole and create the results you're describing.

Edit: Have you had issues with perpendicular cuts or cut quality beyond trying the circle cutter? If not, I would think there's not an issue with the guides.
