PSB jigsaw problem

Ive owned my jigsaw for almost 3 years now and cant say enough good things about it.  It just cuts....well....perfectly.  However, I have noticed the last few days the speed keeps going up and down mid cut.  Almost like you were moving the speed control dial up and down.  Anyone else experience this?

I'd recommend giving the service department a call about this issue. They can probably identify the problem. It'll cost you nothing to call and talk to them, even if it's out of warranty. Their number is on your saw and in my signature below, open M-F, 8a-5p ET.

I have only used the (brilliant) Carvex 420 but does the PSB range have the 'A' position on the speed control that automatically adjusts the speed according to the work load?

Hi

try useing another plug it cord they can sometimes loosen and cause this issue

Cheers Bryan

I've had my jigsaw for about two months and it just started doing the same thing. I tried different speed settings and it does it on all of them. Speed slows down during cut and it's definitely not the cord.  Disappointing for sure

Same here.  I switch cords all the time between tools.  Pretty sure thats not the problem.  I'm going to use it some more today out in the shop and see what it does.  Its odd.  I'm sure it's something electronic because it just revs up and then gently back down.  I will call Festool and see what they can tell me.  Thanks.

Still havent resolved the speed up/ slow down problem.  What does customer service say aboutthe cause of this problem?
