I have been doing some more work with the new Carvex and realised that I am quite enjoying using it - I had never really liked jigsaws before. I decided to make a second video to carry on from where I had left off in the first.

I have been making a computer desk built into an alcove in the study and I used the new Carvex to cut the scribed line in 20mm solid oak. It was a perfect cut but I did not video it - so I have shown some other scribed cuts in veneered blockboard and veneered MDF as well as through some 40mm thick solid oak.

Do watch it to the very end as I have added a little bit extra.

Wonderful video Peter, again as usual.  You showed me all I needed to see.  Please send this thing to the states ASAP, we are all foaming at the mouth, at least I am.  Really like your videos Peter, I'm amazed how that cut without any tear out, fabulous!

I was quite worried when I was asked by my magazine to look at the new Carvex - I have never really got on with jigsaws in the past. However, having used this machine for a couple of weeks it has changed my view completely. The results shown in the video are superb and I am really impressed. My oak desk top that fits in the alcove (3 walls which are nowhere near square) fits like a glove - you would be pushed to slide a cigarette paper in between the top and any of the walls.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for another good informative Video, I was wondering as you have the CMS base could you talk Festool or your magazine into letting you test the Jigsaw attachment plate for the CMS.???

Hint Hint.

Hi Pip

Oh how I wish life were that simple. I would much rather be given the opportunity to test drive the CMS-OF. My children are already planning to get me a Festool router for a combined Christmas and birthday present but I doubt wether there will be any more kit to test before the New Year.

Thanks for the nice comments.
