The Thornapple Kellogg Schools in Middlevile, MI is having a public auction of some very impressive industrial strength woodworking equipment. And I do mean industrial.
So far I have identified:
Powermatic #90 Wood Lathe, 1971, 4' bed
Oliver Wood Lathe
Monical Machinery Jointer. 18"x86.5" bed, 12" head
Monical Machinery 6" Edge Belt Sander
Powermatic Planer @221, 20" bed
Mini Belt Sander (yeah, right. It stands about 5' tall)
Powermatic Disc Sander #35
Broadhead Garrett Jointer
Oscillating Spin Sander
Band Saw (24x24 bed, 19.5" throat)
Laminate Press (just for fun)
Current bids are between 51.00 - 102.50 and the auctions go off in about 5 1/2 days. I assume, just like eBay, the snipers will come out at the last minute. However, if you have room for any of this stuff, it LOOKS like a great deal. Most, if not all, of this equipment is 220 or 440.
I have no idea the actual condition of this equipment. I live in Joisey but am registered on many public auction sites and get this stuff from time to time; and none of the good stuff never seems to be available in the Philly area.
The auction notes say this equipment is being auction due to construction and was used during the previous school year.
Anyways, I saw this stuff and thought I would pass it along to anyone who may be interested.
Good luck.
