purchasing a new miter saw

Well I can't believe it... after all the hype.  :o :o :o :o :o :o

Neat workshop  [thumbs up]

I like that Idea!  Using a kind of plaster boards prop the lift up.  I might steal that idea for my workshop

Had to apply some Kiwi engineering there. Did have to cut it shorter so I could acheive the correct pivot point for when it goes over center but also needed to be able to support the outfeed extension. Pretty easy to set up, just put and it rachets up then a couple of quick turns for the last adjustment and lock.

I got the same props just in orange and like you said its quickly allows you to lift and able to turn it for adjustment is good.  Mine are a lot longer as I have not cut mine! But I will I think I like the easy set up and space saving .

Lambeater - care to share more shop pics?

It looks like you have a nice setup - it has me wondering what the rest is like including: other tools, dimensions, etc.

Thanks.

Looking more and more that the Kapex is probably coming home.

I think that station deserves something like an Omga.  Cast iron, induction motors, no compromise for the sake portability.  Check that option out before you buy.
