Q for the Oneida / Quick-Clamp / Nordfab users

I bought all my QC's from Oneida. The clamps say Nordfab.
Anyways, I have a few connections that have a small leak.
Nothing to be freaking over so I ran a band of tape over it
as a temp most probably long term fix. Hmmm...

Would a band of bicycle tube work? Say cut it about 1"w or less
and stretch it over the joining area then follow up w/ the clamp.
Why I ask is... what size tube would I be looking for?

This would have to stretch 4/5/6" tubes. Obviously the tighter
the better seal no? Then cut the excess tube after the clamp
is on for optional ocd issues. The ducting can sometimes be
a pita but when its done it looks neat.

So are there any cyclists out there that have a recommendation?
Thanks all

I use self sealing silicone tape for this sort of thing, seals perfectly and can be cut off easily.  I buy it off Amazon...X-Treme Tape TPE-X36ZLB Silicone Rubber Self Fusing Tape, 1" x 36'

Cool... have it on order. Seems to have good reviews for other uses also.

Thanks RST !!
