Question about Incra Magnalock router plate reducing ring inserts

I'm thinking of upgrading my Kreg router table with an Incra Magnalock aluminum plate (for retrofitting the plate to the Kreg table it was recommended by Incra that I also purchase the Cleansweep router adapter, even if I'm not adding the cleansweep at the moment).

I have a question about the reducing rings.  I wanted to get the full set of rings, and I see that there are two options -- one with just a hole for the router bit, and the other one specifically adapted for the Cleansweep 

I don't necessarily plan on adding the full Cleansweep setup, at least not in the near future, but I do run dust collection directly from the Triton router (rather than the fence) when running dadoes or template routing.  So would it be worth it for me to get the Cleansweep reducing rings anyway, or does that compromise dust collection when I have the router bearing in-line with the fence and I'm running dust collection solely through the back of the fence?

I use this kind of dust collection in router tables.

This is the closest you can get to removing the dust at the source. Pulling the dust into a box containing the router seems backwards to me. The router’s cooling fan is at the top of the machine. It should be pulling clean air.

I have the same setup up and love it combined with the inserts that have the extra slots!!

I run the fence DC off a 4" hose to wall mounted collector, but the router DC is handled by the CT.  Do you find that the slotted cleansweep inserts are useful even when you're just running the DC off the fence, or do you always have the dual hose connected?

Never tried it without both fence and collet connection so can't say on that matter. The suction at the collet with slotted plate is superb!
