Question About Removing/Applying Guide Frame - Domino

I have a new Domino (gloat). Haven't used it yet but went through the manual (including the unreleased one found here) and played around with the tool including removing the guide frame and bit. I know these are highly toleranced tools but I struggle more than I expected to get the longer ground rod started in the brass bore. I also saw a video and it seemed to glide right onto the tool. Is there a trick?

The guide rods and their respective inserts are very closely machined. If you don't have then lined up absolutely perfectly, it can be tricky to get them inserted. When I first got my Domino, I, also found it a little tricky but with practice and probably a little wear it will be fine.

Try a little teflon or graphite lube.  That helped me.
