Looking for a little help guys.
I'm planning my next project. Thinking about using the sipo mahogany domino tenon as a thru tenon.
I will be using maple and walnut for this project. So I would like to know how dark the sipo is with a clear poly over them. If it would come close to the walnut. I don't want to buy the sipos if it will look bad against the maple and walnut. I know mahogany is redish in color and walnut is dark brown, but I'm thinking maybe the end grain of the sipo will darken up with a clear poly. I know the beech tenons darken up with a coat of poly.
Does anyone have pictures of this with a clear coat over the sipo? A pic or two would a huge help.
Thanks guys !
Eric
