Question about the Rotex 150 and Rubin 2

Sorry if this has been covered but I have a question.

I bought quite a bit of Rubin abrasives a while ago and am starting to run out.  Apparently Rubin is being replaced by Rubin 2.  The hole configuration is different in the name of improved dust collection.

My question:  Are there replacement pads for the Rotex that match the configuration of the of the new paper?

One more question:  I left a phone message Bob Marino and have not heard back from him yet.  Was he affected by the storms in NJ?

Thanks,
Chuck

Yes, you should be able to get the new style pads for your Rotex.  Personally I would talk to a dealer to make sure that you get what you want.  There might be some of the old style pads floating around still.  The paper is both forward and backward compatible between the two style pads according to a video I just watched.

I would give Bob another call.  He went thru some of the power outage issues, but who knows what happened with his telephone service provider.

As Peter said be sure to check you're getting the new style pad.  The same is true with the Rubin, there is still a lot of old stock Rubin on retailer's shelves, so be sure to double with the dealer that you're getting Rubin 2.
