Question for ETS 150 & OF 1400 owners.

Is the Plug-It cord the same gauge in both the ETS 150 Sander and the OF1400 Router?

I currently have the ETS 150 sander and will be getting the Router in the future, but for the time being I need to know if the cord for both tools are the same gauge for a project that I am doing.

According to the online parts catalog, the cords are not the same.  The cord for the ets 150/3 is 18 gauge.  The cord for the 1400 is 16 gauge.

I'm guessing you're planning on building some kind of boom arm or other hose assembly, and want to incorporate a plug-it lead?

If so, you have 3 options:

1. Bring forward your purchase of the OF1400;
2. Leave your project until you're ready to purchase the OF1400;
3. Buy a 16 gauge plug-it cord now.

Out of those, I think your best bet would be option 3 - that way you can build your project now, and additionally you'll then have a spare 16 gauge cord to use with your router if you ever need to use it away from whatever it is you're building.

I am going to go with Option # 3.... I will do some research to try and find the Part # of that 16 gauge cord.

Just is case you don't find it, the 16 gauge cord for the 1400 router in North America is 490656.  you can order or get from any dealer.
