Question for owners of the Depth Stop for PDC, DR drills..

I notice something unusual with the Depth Stop chuck for the PDC, DRC, DR, drills, it is of course different than the excellent depth stop for the T15, T18, C15 drills. It has the advantage over the T15 etc version that it can be used not only with flush/countersunk screw type heads but also with hex bolts for mounting corrugated roofing or signage etc. The one drawback over the T15 etc. depth stop is that you have to remove a sleeve/cap from the depth stop nose in order to  be able to remove a screw, is this difficult in practice or have I misunderstood something here? Why this clunky solution from Festool? I speculate that perhaps it's because of the Hex head compatibility..
