Does anyone know what items within each of the accessory kits are actually metric or imperial?

I guess what I'm asking is whether there is any redundancy items in the kit that is not specific to either or the measurements.

So... can I buy one or the other, and just supplement with parts from the other in order to have a full set of both, or would I need to own both sets individually?

Thanks in advance for your expertise on the subject.

Cheers, Frank

The guide bushings, or as Festool calls them, copy rings, are the only metric or imperial parts in the sets.  If you buy a metric set you'll only need to buy the imperial copy rings to have the full range.

Only difference is the guide bushings.  Metric have no use to me since metric bits are virtually unobtainable in NA.

I disagree, even Amazon carries metric bits from most of the major brands.

When I first started casework and furniture, I was taught by a Swedish artesian and during that period of time the powers to be thought that the USA was going to be metric (big laugh) . I still build casework and furniture that way, and I build structure in both units. My son has a disability and has a hard time with inches, so I have taught him in metric. Thanks to dual unit tapes. The only difference is the units,  I prefer metric, but do  use both. Use what is most useful to you or buy  one  and pick up the coping ring in the outer units you need.

Thanks for the help, y'all!

I ordered the metric set, and will order an imperial Brass Guide Bushings set here in the U.S.  In the end, it seems like a no-brainer.

Thanks again,

Frank
