Quick box from scraps for my wife to use as a door prize at a seminar.

Nice!

Isn't it fun to just crank out something like that once in a while?

Sure is - no plans no design - just doing it

What are plans?!  You're supposed to use plans?!  [tongue]

I really dig the figuring in this maple!  Is that oak on the underside of the lid?  Is that Waterlox?

I think your scrap bin is a bit upscale.  I love the look of tiger maple.

The recipient should appreciate your fine

craftsmanship and the stunning grain on the

box. Good job!  [smile]

Purple Heart under lid and as the handle. Bush oil - very similar to Waterlox but doesn't take as long to gas off. I keep everything so I have way too much in my scrap bins. I liked the figuring as well.
