(No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the image posting to work. Frustrating. So here's a link, instead.)
I drew our youngest son for Christmas gifts, and since he's been a board game aficionado since a little boy, I decided to make him a Quoridor board. Curly maple and Peruvian walnut. The little pieces with maple sandwiched around a thin walnut strip were the challenging parts. I took the opportunity to use the Shaper for the first time, and it made quick work of the slits through the walnut to reveal the white maple underneath. Lots of fun, lots of hours, but hopefully a family heirloom for him.
