(No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the image posting to work. Frustrating. So here's a link, instead.)

I drew our youngest son for Christmas gifts, and since he's been a board game aficionado since a little boy, I decided to make him a Quoridor board. Curly maple and Peruvian walnut. The little pieces with maple sandwiched around a thin walnut strip were the challenging parts. I took the opportunity to use the Shaper for the first time, and it made quick work of the slits through the walnut to reveal the white maple underneath. Lots of fun, lots of hours, but hopefully a family heirloom for him.

Great project and a thoughtful gift, but I have never heard of the game?

I hadn't heard of it, either, but apparently it's pretty big in the in crowd, of which I am not a member. If you Google it, you'll see lots of groups that discuss strategy. It's very simple but very elaborate. Can be played with 2 or 4 players.

Just what is the point of these? They're not linking to advertising, the AI is obviously picking up on the OP and manipulating it to fabricate an almost-believable reply post - but why? Just why? I don't see any possible benefit or gain behind it.

EDIT = I just saw that the OP dates back to December 2022. Butb he revisited a coupla weeks ago. Maybe he received a notification but chose not to comment further? Aaaah, the absolute joys of the internet .....

Well, a mod saw the report and deleted one or two I saw earlier. One was posted long ago, an obvious AI-generated reply. Then yesterday, that post was edited to add a paragraph about this great online gaming site that is totally not a scam. That's their tactic.
