I have both Festool and Makita rails. Have found out that the Makita rail guide rib is about 0.015" thinner than the Festool. This makes it a bit of a pain to reset the guide rail cams when switching rails.
I thought I had it licked by cutting some teflon self-adhesive tape on the left side rib but after using the saw quite a bit last weekend noticed the tape is being torn in a couple spaces.
Maybe I should cut the tape wider so it folds over onto the top of the rib?
Any other user suggestions welcome.
Thanks
Mike
