Raising MFT/3-Kapex

I have just ordered a Kapex and MFT/3-Kapex. I already have a standard MFT/3. Has anyone built risers or leg extensions to raise the MFT/3-Kapex to the same height so that you can use both MFTs together when not using the Kapex?

I was thinking a platform with adjustable legs would be easy, but leg extensions that slide on would be better and take up less room when not in use.

Just general thinking here ...........  it seems that leg extensions that would not be wobbly might be a nuisance to take on and off. So for simple stability and ease of switching I think a platform would make sense. Maybe the platform could have some additional use. Such as it being the correct height (which it should be) for using the Kapex on the floor in the same way as a Sys - I ?

And for storage of the platform ..... make the platform a little larger than the MFT/Kapex so that the MFT/Kapex can be nested into the platform for storage.

Just order a set of legs meant for MFT3. Sorted.

That won't work since the tables have different dimensions.  [sad]

Sorry i didn't realise that. I'm not MFT owner so a little out of touch with it. I thought they were different length but same width. OH well.

If you want the MFT that you will put the Kapex on to be the same height as a regular MFT/3 all the time, as opposed to just being the same height when not using the Kapex, then just get a second regular MFT/3. The Kapex will fit into the holes on a regular one.

Additional info ...... If the Kapex is raised higher than it would be when on the MFT/Kapex or the UG stand, the Festool UG extensions will not work without also raising them.

If the Kapex is on either the MFT/Kapex or the UG stand, the saw table height is the same as a regular MFT/3. And a regular MFT/3 can be used as additional material support when positioned adjacent.

How about just making a box to sit on top of the MFT mini instead of putting the table on the box? You could make it larger than the mini to have a larger work area. An added bonus would be a place to put tools instead of on the table top. You could bore it out to have the same clamping holes as a regular MFT3.
