Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but what is the stroke of the RO 150 in the random orbit mode as compared with say the 5mm of the ETS 150/5? Are these strokes measured as a radius or diameter?

Thanks, Dick

The ETS 150/5 and RO 150 FEQ both have 5mm rotation patterns.

The Rotex has the "Rotex" mode which is a more aggressive sanding pattern and therefore better for material removal compared to the ETS 150/5

Cheers

Thanks Seth & Dan. I have both sanders, just wondering ...

BTW, is that measurement a radius or diameter?

Regards, Dick

So, does that mean the Rotex in random orbit mode and the ETS will produce the same quality  finish, assuming the same sand paper?

In theory yes, but I find I get a better finish using the ETS150/5.

Neither, it's the maximum distance between the two most extreme positions possible.

Finish should be the same although the ETS 150/5 is allot quieter and smoother making it feel like a finishing sander. The Rotex sounds and feels like a beast wanting to eat sawdust and like it doesn't really care about swirl marks but deep down inside it is a finishing sander and a fine polisher as well
