A few months ago a client asked me to take their master bathroom vanity which had an ugly stain job on it and make it match their kitchen island. I removed the doors and panels, sanded them and started the re-finishing process. The drawers and doors had to be pushed to open that is why there are no holes on the drawer fronts.
I sanded them down, then mixed brown mahogany stain with General Finishes High performance poly and applied 2 coats. Then applied 2 clear coats of poly then sanded with 600 grit paper to get rid of the orange peeling and applied the final coat of poly. Turned out great. Client is happy so far. Now to install them with new hardware.
Thought I would share.
