Recap

Looks like a modular (velcro) toolbox. About damn time something like this is released.

Sadly the sparse information on it was removed again.

Kind regards,
Oliver

I'm surprised to see the classic systainer feet receivers in that pic.  I'll laugh my arse off if this is just a reskin of the old toolbox.  :D

The interesting thing to see will be if it can sit on the cantilever "storage" box or the other fixed handle toolboxes.

Keeping it compatible with the classics is not too bad, still plenty of them around - also with other brands.

Kind regards,
Oliver

I'll give that whole influencer thing another year or maybe two. All of the companies are burning money on event invites, events and freebies - and I have yet to come across a single influencer that could actually convey the true value of any product & what sets it apart from competitor's products by showcasing actual use scenarios.
In depth videos and reviews are fine for someone who already knows about Festool, already knows the product exists and is already considering buying it. These influencers serve a different purpose. They often have huge subscriber numbers and can get millions of views on a video. At that level, it makes good sense to just have your tools in their hands, or sitting on shelves in the background.

Take someone like Laura Kampf on YT. She has a constant supply of Festool products, often getting them before they’re widely available to buy and I don’t think I’ve ever seen her even mention them. But I can guarantee Festool makes way more in sales from that relationship than it costs them to send her a new tool whenever she needs one.

At least they finally include a longer rail; a 1900 with the TSV 60.

The 1400 rail is really outdated with the newer saws, even for the TS55. They should have gone to 1500 ages ago. Unless their idea is that sheets are only 1m wide instead of 1.22m...

Is there any news/updates on the toolbag? I really like it, but haven’t heard anything besides this photo above. Nothing on the festool website or dealer websites

Mafell got this one right.

Do you have a list of minimum required lengths from all the saws to fit both guiding pads on the rail without the fully plunged blade touching the material and having enough space in the end to not run off the rail while having cleared the sheet with the rear of the blade?
Did not bother ... was fiddling with it but eventually gave up and settled on a policy of = - 400 mm and marked all rails 300 mm from the "starting" edge to mark the required overhang. That is enough for all saws we have. No TS75 over here ... but should cover even that.

Leaves a few centimeters of cut capacity "on the table", but removes the constant worry of placing the saw exactly such that max length capacity can be used ..

Before got rid of our Makita rails, I found that 1500 is still barely enough for a full 1250 mm cut. It can be done, but needs just too much fiddling to place the rail and the saw exactly. Not worth it.
