Wow this is a change for Festool [eek]

Look like the difference between the 10 and 20% off is more usage?

Any idea whether the batteries included with the drills are new or "lightly used"?  I'm assuming their the same as the rest of the kit, and aren't necessarily new.

I want a RAS 115 and Domino for 20% off.  :)

Selling off some of my tools is working out! Now to get what I need!

Bob, not sure, but I'd presume yes, that they are.

Guys, to clarify, you can only order by calling 1-877-TOOLNUT.  There is no online ordering portal available for these tools as it is a first come first served basis and tools will go quick.  Get your orders in today to ensure delivery.  Like I said earlier, they won't be shipping until Feb 1 per Festool's orders.

Bob, to address your question about batteries... There's no guarantee that they will be new. Many of these tools are returned under our 30-day money-back guarantee policy. The condition will vary slightly from one tool to another. The 30-day return policy will also pertain to the reconditioned tools so if you order one and you don't like it, return it. No questions asked. However, the customer will be responsible for return shipping to our Indianapolis warehouse.

Some items are 10% and some are 20% off even though they seem to be of similar type.  Is the difference in % based on the actual condition of the tool?

I think that is the idea.

You got it.

To quote Festool USA verbatim:

10% off means - Includes current and discontinued tools that have seen limited use and come with original packaging.
20% off means - Includes current and discontinued tools displaying use that are in good condition with original packaging.

Just to be clear, none of these tools are in bad shape. I don't want someone to get the impression that a 20% discount means that pieces are falling off of it!  [scared] We're obviously confident that folks will be satisfied with the quality and condition since we're offering the 30-day return policy.

Same warranty, I would go with the 20%.

If you saw my Rotex you would see that for me it makes no difference. The tool will get used and look used anyway. I have a feeling Festools "more used" is like my definition, pretty darn clean.

Maybe I missed something here.  Is this program available only thru one dealer or all dealers?

Peter

Guys, go for it if you can.  I got some Festools reconditioned when these were offered in Canada.  I've had no issues so far (2+years).  One of the systainers had seen better days (it was a demo).  Otherwise, all tools look like new and have worked flawlessly.

The thing that would hold me back is the fact that there's only a 1 year warranty on the tools, so the savings of either 10% or 20% is taking 2 years off the warranty.  The Kapex I've been considering is a mixed bag on here.  Plenty of people have no problems, a good amount do and more than once, so that warranty seems really important.  Just think about how much it costs to ship something that big and heavy back to Indiana + the out of warranty repair cost after your 1 year is up.  I feel that if you're only giving 1 year warranty then take at least 30% off the original price.

Do we still get the free shipping offers?

Heck yeah Brice!  Sorry I didn't mention it guys.  Free shipping on all tools and any Festool order for that matter.  No matter the size.  This includes the recon tools.
