Does anyone know when we can start buying the reconditioned tools that sysnotes mentioned? Who is going to be selling them?

Many dealers, including some that are represented here on the forum are taking orders now. I would suggest you order as soon as possible since quantities are very limited for many items and are available on a first-come basis.

I don't see any reason why any dealer wouldn't accept an order today.

That being said, we will not process and ship orders until next Tuesday, Feb. 1st.

From SysNotes:

How do I order?

Contact your preferred Festool dealer to purchase a Certified Reconditioned tool. All products will be drop shipped from our warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sorry if I wasn't clear with that in SysNotes. I always try to cover all the questions I think customers may ask preemptively. Sometimes I don't succeed.

I'M SO PUMPED!!!!  I hope Mr.Marino recieved my order!!!!  I never felt so excited over a tool sale before....something must be wrong with me.

You are placing an order just like buying at an online auction - except you know the price you will pay - and the seller is TOP NOTCH!.

Good Luck!  Hope you are successful.  Hope you love your new future tools - my esp is kicking in.  Sending good thoughts...ummmmm...

thanks Peter,  I ordered a planer (850) dominio set and a mft 800.  don't know what I did or said to the wife to make this happen.  Wish I could remember so I could use the trick again [big grin].  I guess I have jedi mind powers!!

May the force be with you.

May the GREEN be with you!

BWHAHAHAHA! Too funny, P.

There is no try. There is either buy or buy not.

Shane:

Loved your emoticon, but sometimes when you are involved with wives, etc, you need to pull out the big guys that everyone can understand:

Um, I am married... so I know. Although my wife has the "ah, just buy it" attitude and I am the reasonable, responsible buyer. So,  I can pretty much buy at will. Plus, she'll let me have all the Festool that I want.  [tongue]

I guess she just knows that I work very hard and she wants me to treat myself to the good things in life.

Sand drywall in the kitchen using a drywall sponge, and then with a Festool sander and dust collector.  They arrive at a GREEN understanding pretty quickly after that.

As hundreds of readers of the FOG insist to do some drywall work for their wives. Well played, sir. Sounds like this tactic has been used before in the Crescent household.  [thumbs up]

So is there a list some where with what tools are available for this? Is it all of them? I could really get in trouble if that is the case.

Thanks
Pete

Looks as if I might have to sleep in the shop with the new (to me) tools... the wife is going to be pi$$ed. LOL  Man I love her

Just wanted to touch base with members and see if anyone else had questions regarding the reconditioned tools.

shane i tried to order my recon tools from my local festool dealer up here in alaska, they talked to their rep and said that they could not even give festool the order until the 1st of feb. now i thought that the 1st is when they started shipping?im not sure who their rep is but if that is not the case and they are taking the orders now i dont wanna get jiped and miss the boat, so if you could clarify this for me it would be great, and if we can order now maybe talk to the rep for alaska and straighten it out

I'm not Shane, but Festool isn't taking orders until 2/1.

I am and so are others taking pre-orders.
