Using rustic hickory then cutting them down to make doors and cabinets. Top is Formica fx1080. Used 700 router to trim laminate then I use hickory as edge. And did new sink and backsplash. Will update as I progress

I love rustic hickory. Its what I did my kitchen in. I like the way that door turned out. What finish did you use? The grain came out very nice

I like Hickory think it looks great.

I know everyone turns their nose up to anything but granite but those new laminates are very convincing as being the real deal. I do not understand the whole granite obsession.

I bought a laminate granite look prefab from Lowes for a rental house I have. It had a preformed edge that looked like custom granite. I went to check out and the cashier wouldn't ring it up as she though it was granite and somehow I was trying rip Lowes off because the price was like $80. True story.

Installed not one person ever noticed it wasn't the real deal.

Update more doors done

I used golden pecan min wax stain as it really brings out the wood
