Redwood Old Growth Bench

Here are some pictures of the bench I made.  It's from an old growth Redwood slab with Ebony butterflies to stabilize the slab.  The base is made from the off cuts from the slab.

Redwood is an awesome wood, and super easy to work with. The house I grew up in was comprised of about 50% redwood materials. We had two redwood outdoor benches mounted near our pool, but nothing like that one, as they were just boring straight boards.

It was finished with Watco Teak Oil as it will live outside.
