Remote turn on switch for CT's

Like most I think, I keep my cord strapped to by CT.  While using my beloved vac to clean my house as I pack up to move.  I would love a remote turn on switch that could strap to the hose and act like any of my other tools. Sure would beat having to bend over all day to turn on/off the vac. 

PS-If anyone has a DIY method for this, please share.  ;D

I think others on the FOG have mentioned a light will trigger it.

Neat idea; a remote switch to power on a light or other sufficient current load attached to the CT appliance port for triggering Auto on/off.

Didn't think about a light, but a nice LED light that one could strap to the hose would be awesome.  Come on Festool.  Make it happen.

I have had this thought along with many.

My conclusion would be a product such as this http://festoolusa.com/power-tool-accessories/hepa-dust-extractors/tubes-curved/dust-extractor-tube-curved-stainless-steel-452900 that had a plug in for the cord with a switch (and now id like a light for cleaning under/ behind armoire.)

This would also work well with a hose/ cord combo :wink: :wink:

I use the FastCap remote Vac switch... it's great for quickly turning on and off the vac to hit areas that need vacuuming after a work activity such as sanding, drilling, cutting, etc.  They are $29 ...  the switch has a velcro caddie that wraps around the end of the vacuum hose keeping you from losing or misplacing the remote switch.
