Are the PDC or BHC drills suitable for removing small amounts of floor tile in bathrooms?

Small like 2x4' ? hammer and stone chisel followed up with a floor scraper and possibly water. Larger than that a small rotor hammer ( like a jack hmmer but much smaller) they typically accept sds bits or sds max bits. Mine is a Makita and I have. Milwaukee self sharpening shovel attachement I use for landscaping Nd digging small footings.

Foam ear plugs, and small hammer I call molinar, and an orange coloured chisel made for tile.

I have just removed an entire kitchen of wall tiles using the OS400 if that helps, depends on the adhesive i suppose

Work smarter, not harder.

If it's a one time job, you can get mini versions of this from Harbor Freight (gasp!) for $15, probably even cheaper than renting. The long reach ones are still ~$100+.

If it's a small area you could use a scraper attachment that you affix to a reciprocating saw. I have a version of the type shown in the video below and it works great for smaller jobs where I don't want to bring out the compressor and my air chisel.

If you have a compressor, I highly recommend using an air chisel/hammer. I used it to remove the tile in our Laundry room, and most recently our master bath. Im using the cheap Cambell Hausfeld one that came with my compressor that I bought about 18 years ago. This is really the only time that I used it. If you don't have one, you can grab one for cheap at Harbor Freight. It even worked well for getting the tilebacker board up. It would inch itself under the board and I could use a prybar to break it free from the screws. Heres a crappy picture half way through the process.

I have a large HF hammer drill with a hammer only mode.  I haven't used it on floor tile, yet, but have successfully taken down a chimney and a brick wall with it.  I am confident it will take up floor tile.  I plan to take out the pan of a shower with it, I need to remove the mud pan because I am pretty sure it leaks at the drain.  But I also need to take the floor tile up around the back door without destroying the mud base.  I am sure it will do it.  It costs less than $150 and takes SKS bits.

For smaller stuff I have a Makita SDS+ rotary hammer. For Larger stuff I have a big Milwaukee SDS-Max Roto hammer.  Various Chisels and scrapers for both. They both work great... also not particularly cheap!  If you don't have any use for owning a roto hammer, It could certainly be done with a cold chisel and a hammer or mini sledge and a bit of sweat.

Nah, just go to your big box store and rent one for a day...they are cheap.  Makes quick work of it.

What is the context? If there an existing floor? ?..and if so what size?

Or a way to justify the drill?

Or many floors?

Only if you use the drill as a hammer to hit a chisel ... and not very cost effective with this approach as it my just have a slight issue for the warranty claim you'd certainly be making afterwards.

Do you know what the tiles have been bonded with? I've come across floor tiles I can remove with a shovel and I've encountered wall tiles that necessitated replacing the walls !!
