Hi all,

I have not posted any work in a while just because I dont really have the time to take photo's on some jobs. So I thought I would at least share some work I have done on the pc. These 2 rendering are for my soon to be finished segmented lamp catalog. This is something I really would like to get into stores soon just because I enjoy the work so much.

wow. those renderings ar very ral looking. i think the scale of the bricks  is making it look CGI. could you put in your own pic in behind

Not sure what you mean about the scale of the bricks?? They are the right scale for the scene. Also I made those bricks with a photo and created a bump map in photoshop so they are pretty realistic from what I can tell, they might look rough but that is the way I wanted it, so it looks like a really old wall.

i mean if you increased the number of bricks in the picture it would make the turnings look bigger.  they look a little large for me.
still great work thow. it is mind blowing what can be done now with computers.

please post a few pics of the final turnings. they should look cool.

Ah I see what you mean, the largest turning is only 350mm high so they are not overly large. I have larger designs but I also have lamp shades to consider and finding nice ones for large lamps has not been easy.

I do have some pictures already of lamps i already made, see below.

very nice.
how do you miter the segments. incra miter gauge maybe. some pics of making one of those would be lovely

thats jmb. make me look stupid. im not one for facebook so i dont bother with links to it.

i like the dubeli clip and spacer idea. are those clamps from aldi. iv got loads of them aswell. not great for heavy clamping but perfect for light use or where you are using loads of them

I only use the spacer on rings that have a thick diameter, its just helps take out any play in the angle. I actually dont know the brand of the clamps they have no markings on them from any company. They are dead cheap though so I do have a few of them on the clamp rack.
