Hi All,

Maybe some here have experience with removing concrete? The floor is off all over the place and we need to remove between 20-50 mm (1"-2") of material.

Would the Renofix 130 (with diamond cutting disc) be able to do it? I'm just considering it, since I could you use also for some walls and a floor with glue.

Any idea how much time and wear for 1 m2 (10 sqft) area?

I do realise this is not the ideal tool for the job, but considering that brining in heavier tools brings it own problems (geo location, accessibility).

Any ideas?

As always, much obliged!

It would work but it's going to take a few days of grinding to get it done (not fun!).

If you need to remove 1-2" it would be faster to cut several 1-2" deep lines in the concrete every inch and chip the material away.  At that point the Renofix would quickly remove the excess and smooth out the floor.  The other option is to cut out the high concrete and re-pour that section of the slab.  Either method would be better then just grinding down the floor by hand.

Self leveling compound will not work for you?  This is the most common form of leveling concrete pads in the US.
