Repeated horizontal mortises with a Domino

Anyone have an idea of how to accurately make a series of repeated horizontal mortises with the Domino like in the photo I've attached.
 
Put a domino in the first slot, cut a spacer for the correct distance to next slot, install the trim stop to center the slot.

In case he's not aware of it, the SCG is a great Domino add-on to use for this as well imo.  Just got mine a few months ago, and it has proven itself very handy indeed.

Has anyone tried cutting 4x20 mortises like shown in my picture in 3/4" lumber?

When I hold up the little domino against the edge of a 3/4" board it looks very close to the edge, but maybe doable.

Would it just cut too close to the surfaces for it to be practical?
