My CT-26 lives in a corner of my shop 3' from my bench and vise, often with the brake on so that it doesn't creep forwards.  In this position, the Systainers' latches face the wall and the lids open towards me.  I can access the contents, but it's not as convenient as it could be.  I would like a way to be able to mount a Systainer in the reverse position.

If you look at the sixth picture here, you can see a homemade roll-board I had made.

It uses the little rubber loops that hook to the Systainer latches (mine are blue Tanos loops).
If you made a board like this that could be attached to your CT (some Dominos or dowels stick out would work), and then had these loops on top…. You could attach a Systainer 180o from its normal orientation.  You'd only add 3/4" of height.

Might that work?

It appears the loops are a replacement part:

Thanks for the link.  I will be making one and you've provided something to get me started.  I knew it was possible to make something to do the job, but I also think it would make a nice feature.  Perhaps there is very limited demand though.

Here's an up close picture of how I attached the loops on the ply rollboard.

I routed out a shallow mortise (these are necessary to get a little tension), drilled four small holes, and "attached" the loops using small zip ties.
The drill holes are slightly angled.  They are closer together on the loop side.  The zip tie goes down and doubles back up through the second hole.
