Designed and manufactured by SawStop, these high quality accessories are compatible with machines other than SawStop table saws.

The mitre gauges fit standard-sized mitre slots found on many bandsaws, router tables, and sanders. The under table cabinets will slide under many table saws, and are practical as an extra horizontal working space, too.

Adding to my previous comment above, it appears that the first mitre gauge is heavily leveraging the Jessem design, but with some differentiating features. But the bar for the mitre slot is strikingly similar to the Jessem. At least they aren’t playing favorites. But then again, Incra also works closely with Jessem.

I own a PCS and think SawStop makes great products, but my reaction to these accessories is that I don't see anything "Revolutionary" about them.

What other miter gauge comes close?

The Jessem Vernier Scale goes down to tenths of a degree.

Maybe the SawStop gauge is improved, but not revolutionary :-)

There are a few miter gauges that can be set to a tenth degree (Jessem, Woodhaven, Kreg) via a vernier scale (and finer reading between the lines) but this one seems to be an order of magnitude finer (at least in intention) so I do consider that revolutionary. It remains to be seen if lash is reduced enough to make such fine adjustments reliable.

You really only need that ability for special work and/or multiple joint assemblies. In those cases even a tenth degree can be way too much. I manage without such a fine setting miter gauge by setting a bevel gauge to the setting I think is right (then putting the bevel gauge between the miter fence and the saw blade) then testing by cutting wood. If adjustment is needed I use a feeler gauge to reset the bevel gauge and test again.

While I can totally understand the matching under-table storage box, you would have to be pretty short to use that as a work surface. I see the UHMW as an unnecessary expense, where a finger-jointed piece of hardwood could do the job just fine. It wouldn't need to be fancy, just somewhat protective as a "drop zone" type place for parts, like if you were cutting dados in a lot of drawer parts. Even then, it's pretty low to fit under the saw. The ones at the shop are stationary for that reason.
