Ridgid 12" sliding miter saw - This saw works great EXCEPT it screams on start up. A loud screeching sound. I have tried to fix it. It still makes the sound, but cuts perfectly. I am guessing it is the brake? The laser needs a battery.
This is my personal saw, not purchased somewhere else used.
I would prefer not to ship only so the person can check the saw out first as I have a 100% guarantee and paying shipping two ways makes no sense.
Other than the noise it makes I do guarantee the saw works and cuts great. There is a 100.00 Forrest Chopmaster blade on the saw. It is dirty and probably would not need a sharpening for awhile. I'll try to clean up the blade. Its never been sharpened as it is not that old, like I said just dirty. With the blade this is not a bad deal, especially if you can pick up.
I would ship at my cost making nothing on the shipping or packing, I would imagine at least 50.00 maybe 75.00 for shipping.
I may NOT have the dust bag, but this baby works better with a vacuum attached anyway. I will look for it, if I have it , it's yours.
This is 569.00 plus 179.00 for the stand at Amazon right now. This saw cuts TRUE.
I have a custom made zero clearance insert in the saw. It is basically used up but works, so you can make another.
200.00 with free pick up.
65.00 for the stand.
I paid 599.99 new. I think you can get them for 499.99(with the stock blade) new now(ON SALE), I am not sure.
This might be perfect as a site saw for the crew or as your second saw. If you have no miter box this will be perfect for a fist timer. The saw is nice and better than the DeWalt model, IMHO. The dust collection is not good, but not many sliders are good at a collection and effectively I am only charging 100.00 when you factor in the Forrest blade.
Of course the Makita, Kapex and probably the Milwaukee are better saws, but at this price with the Forrest blade I do believe it is a good deal. I will not go any lower.
