[member=61691]TSO_Products[/member]  - Looking forward to using BigFoot.  Thanks for making it compatible with both the DF-500 AND the XL. Keeps us updated.

Chris

I concur, having an accessory fitting both DF is a huge benefit. Not only monetary but for shop space.... I hate having several jigs that does the same thing  [wink]

[member=62097]Mario[/member]  -  exactly: that's why TSO is so focused on SYSTEM DESIGN.
Our Clamping Angles work with the MTR-18 Triangle in setting up case work. The hole pattern in the Triangle matches that of the GRS-16 and the Clamping Angle then becomes a reference edge extension for cutting bull nosed stock and similar situations. Now that same hole pattern is designed to receive our new TPG-30 Parallel Guide next month. And we have another item in BETA testing which will fit this same TSO mounting hole pattern.

Hi Hans

The parallel guide looks to be a great add on... Unfortunately I have ALL version 1 TSO products (GRS16, GRS16-PE, MTR 18 Set) which appears not to conform to the TSO system.  Any suggestions?  Any way to upgrade/update them?

Thanks
Chris

[member=59331]TSO Products[/member] Hans, just wanted to check to see if you received the e-mail I sent you last week? Thanks!

Maybe I'm dense, but I'm not clear on what problem this solves on the DF500.  Will someone please enlighten me?

To me It only add stability to bore holes in specific situation. Personally I find the DF500 light enough to not have problem holding it firmly in place. With the DF700 it's another story, being more heavy it can be tricky to bore a series 30+ holes where fatigue come into account.

Having started this thread, as it said in the Subject, I built this for my 700 XL.  I can't speak for the DF500.

I find it very helpful on the 700XL to make mortices on the face of boards near the edge.  I found a new use for it recently, I wanted to make mortices on the edge of small pieces of wood, they were too small to clamp to the table, but I was able to clamp them to the angle adapter and make the mortices without any issue.

Overall, works great for me!

Hans, do you have an estimated release date yet for the DF500 version of the BigFoot?

The accessory hole pattern and location are the same on the DF500 and DF700. The TSO DBF-45 accessory will work on either tool.

Hans,

Are there 2 Bigfoot models (500 and 700 model) or does the Bigfoot fit both Dominos?

-YES, the DBF-45 fits both 500 and 700 Domino machines.

And of significant importance to some people, it will still fit inside the DF 500 Systainer along with a Seneca Domiplate. Everything in one location.  [smile]

Here are a few more pictures of it in use with my XL.  Also, including it in a Ramon domino dock I made based on his plans.

As you can tell, I like it.

Even if the Domino containers are full, there's still enough room for the BigFoot.

Many choices :-)

That's where I keep my DIY right angle adapter.

-well with that much in the DF 700 Systainer, we should come up with another attachment to fill that space [wink]
Actually we are listening for customer feedback and suggestions for refinements.

and thanks for all the pictures being posted!

Bob, I was interested in that 700 dock a couple of days ago...just have not had the opportunity to question you about it.

I’m very curious about your thoughts on it and would welcome your review.

For some reason I like it yet for some reason I’m still trying to identify a typical application.

The 700 is kind of klunky compared to the 500 so your thoughts are important.

The domino dock is simply a means to take the workpiece to the machine. It makes quick work of rail and styles or other small part repeated mortises. The main reason is because you do not really have to deal with multiple clamps. Sennca Just came out with an accessory that is similar to the rail/style attachment, but allows for larger capacity.
