Right Angle Adapter for Domino 500 & Domino 700 XL

The domino dock is simply a means to take the workpiece to the machine. It makes quick work of rail and styles or other small part repeated mortises. The main reason is because you do not really have to deal with multiple clamps. Sennca Just came out with an accessory that is similar to the rail/style attachment, but allows for larger capacity.

Thanks for the explanation and the Seneca link. I didn't know the dock plate even existed. I can see for small items this could save a lot of time and it's probably just plain easier to deal with.  [smile]

The dock plate was just released, I first saw it on Instagram yesterday.

I think that for smaller pieces, it's much easier to bring the wood to the domino XL than the other way around.  I use this approach with the TSO Big Foot or my own right angle adapter when I need more support horizontally.  I can clamp the wood to the right angle adapter.  This combination also works well with the Seneca "Domi-Shims" for imperial stock.

Unfortunately my Ramon domino dock doesn't fit in the systainer :-(

Bob, I was interested in that 700 dock a couple of days ago...just have not had the opportunity to question you about it.

I’m very curious about your thoughts on it and would welcome your review.

For some reason I like it yet for some reason I’m still trying to identify a typical application.

The 700 is kind of klunky compared to the 500 so your thoughts are important.

Yeah - PhotoBucket, I refused to pay them. I'll see if I can dig up the photos and re-post them.

Found the photo. I had around 60 crib slats that were approximately 1/2" thick x 1-1/2" wide to put Domino mortises in both ends. I attached the Seneca 1/2" plate and made two blocks to center the slats. Worked like a charm. The Seneca looks like it can handle much wider boards (and looks much nicer):
