The right laser line on my Kapex just went out -- saw is only a couple of months old, and the left one still works fine.  I haven't opened anything up yet, but before I do I just wanted to check what the troubleshooting procedures are for this problem, and whether I'm missing something obvious.  Thanks.

Edward.
Just check that laser hasn't had a knock. I noticed when adjusting my lasers that when going to far in one direction it gave the appearance of going off when actually it was shining over the blade. Perhaps if it's had a knock the same effect can happen?
Hope that helps and it's not the laser that's faulty and needs a service return.
Good luck.

Check for dust in the lens
When you look under the saw there is a small plastic lens, maybe dust or a chip of wood is blocking the laser path.
Read the supplemental manual for tips on how to remove the lens

Hi, I had the same on my Kapex and I cleaned the lens which didn't do the trick
Took it to the festool maintenance and they changed the laser, costs about $125...

Presumably your saw was out of warranty?
