What is the difference between the RO 150 FEQ and the RO 150 FEQ "PLUS"?

Yup, it is. But it is a European distinction because you can buy different packages of the tools here. In America the "Plus" doesn't apply because all tools are sold there in systainers.

So no actual distinction in the machine iteself right?

I bought a 150/5 new and it has the PLUS on it.  Yes it came with the systainer.

Someone told me it is 'newer' and has better suction or something but that person was also a salesman

The machine is exactly the same.

Maybe the salesman was referrring to the newer "multi-jetstream" sanding pad versus the older "jetstream" pad. According to Festool the newer pad has better suction. But that update has nothing to do with the "Plus" name.
